I thought the assignment we did in class last Friday was also super interesting, just like the one two Fridays ago. I will admit I definitely liked the movie assessment better, but I thought the song one was super interesting. I've never read that much into song lyrics or even a music video before so I was curious to hear everyone's perspectives on the songs we did. For example, the Weeknd song we did, I never even thought about it being about drugs, so I found that really interesting.

I am totally with you on the liking the movie assignment more than the song assignment because as an actor I feel that it is hard to pack all of the deeper meanings into movies and I cant imagine that every song ever written or recorded has a complex or deep meaning to it. I believe that some forms of art are just created for the sake of art rather than to convey a message or theme about something.
